you can make me hole again (working title) is an investigation of the physicality of holes and the holes’ relationship to the spatial body by using our bodies in holes, by embodying holes, and by being a w/hole. We are spending our time with the meeting of holes and the whole, and are looking into our inherent obsession of filling holes both physically, emotionally and sexually. We are asking why there is a need to feel complete? Does wholeness only come from the hole being full? Can the hole and whole co-exist without erasing the other and can we rest in that w/hole?
This project was instigated with a residency in Copenhagen 2023 at Dance cooperative and Makvärket with travel support from The Swedish Arts Council. The performance will continue to develop during residencies with scenography building during 2024 and onwards. If you are interested in hearing more, collaborate or contribute, please reach out!
